Reported 11 months ago

Alaska Airlines lost an appeal in a $160 million trademark dispute with Virgin Aviation in the UK, where a court ruled Alaska must pay a minimum royalty to Virgin until 2039 for the right to use the Virgin brand, even if they no longer use it. The Court of Appeal in London rejected Alaska's argument that paying for trademarks they don't use is unreasonable.
