It was found that cilantro at Zhujian Happy Hotpot in Keelung Nanrong Store contained the prohibited pesticide cypermethrin, and scallions at Very Thai were found with improper use of fipronil. Very Thai responded by stating that they have already changed suppliers. The FDA emphasized that those exceeding the residual pesticide content limit face fines ranging from over 60,000 to 200 million New Taiwan dollars. The FDA suggested consumers choose organic or reputable agricultural products to ensure food safety.
