According to CTV News Network, on July 9, 2024, at 10:38 pm, the Food and Drug Administration released the results of 'Monitoring of Pesticide Residues in Fruits and Vegetables Sold in the Market.' It was found that cilantro at Zhujian Happy Hotpot in Keelung Nanrong Store contained the prohibited pesticide cypermethrin, and scallions at Very Thai were found with improper use of fipronil. Very Thai responded by stating that they have already changed suppliers. The FDA emphasized that those exceeding the residual pesticide content limit face fines ranging from over 60,000 to 200 million New Taiwan dollars. The FDA suggested consumers choose organic or reputable agricultural products to ensure food safety.
