Due to the vigorous development of afternoon convective cloud systems, the Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain special warning for '10 counties and cities' nationwide, with a probability of localized heavy rain in areas north of Hsinchu, Nantou, Miaoli, and central mountainous areas. National flood alerts were issued for Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Chiayi County, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, and Yunlin County until 3:15 pm, advising the public to be cautious of thunderstorms, strong gusts of wind, potential landslides, falling rocks, and flash floods in mountainous areas.
