According to a report by SET News on June 29, 2024, a 43-year-old man with diabetes was advised to start insulin injections due to high blood sugar levels and abnormal cholesterol. However, after giving up processed foods and a high-carb diet for just one month, his glycated hemoglobin significantly decreased and his lipid levels improved. The patient's triglycerides dropped from 598mg/dl to 130mg/dl, meeting the normal range, and his cholesterol and insulin levels also showed improvement. With diligent effort, the patient aims to achieve a glycated hemoglobin level below 6, with noticeable progress already seen within a month.
