Amazon Establishes Data Center in Taiwan, Landing for Local Cloud Service Providers

Reported about 1 year ago

Amazon has confirmed a major investment in a data center in Taiwan, planning to introduce a regional cloud data center early next year to comply with regulations requiring some business data to be stored locally. This move has led to a surge in opportunities for local cloud service providers such as Yungu Valley (6689), MT-Tech (6112), and JCS (6214), all of whom are AWS partners in Taiwan. Yungu Valley, which has been cooperating with Amazon AWS since 2014, is especially expected to benefit from Amazon's investment and the launch of regional services in Taiwan. MT-Tech, on the other hand, currently provides integrated cloud services for AWS, Akamai, Google, Microsoft, among others.
