Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani is venturing into Africa with a telecom venture through Radisys Corp., a subsidiary of his company Reliance Industries Ltd. The new company, Next-Gen InfraCo., plans to offer 5G broadband services in Ghana by the year-end, in partnership with strategic allies like Nokia, Tech Mahindra, and Microsoft. NGIC will support the Ghanaian government's goal of digital connectivity, similar to the success Ambani achieved with Jio in India. The partnership is also seen as a strategic move to counter China's influence in Africa.
