Media figure Wang Shiqi pointed out the possibility that Kuomintang legislator Tu Chia-hsin may harm Xie Guolong, mayor of Keelung, who is currently facing a recall motion. Wang mentioned that Tu's pursuit of attention and spotlight has accumulated higher hate value, potentially alienating moderate voters and causing repercussions on Xie Guolong and legislator Yeh Yuan-zhi. Former Central Broadcasting System Chairman Zhao Shao-kang criticized DPP's involvement in the recall motion and urged for a correction of election laws, stating that the controversy surrounding the East Bank Plaza property rights in Keelung is politically driven by the DPP. Xie Guolong's recall motion has reportedly received over 80% of the required submissions, prompting strong opposition from Kuomintang lawmakers.
