The third district police station held a coordination meeting for the Wan-An No. 47 drill to ensure its successful completion. Against the backdrop of ongoing conflicts like the Russia-Ukraine war, the Wan-An drills aim to strengthen public awareness of air defense and prepare for unforeseen events to minimize casualties. With the Wan-An 47 drill scheduled on July 22nd in central Taiwan, the police have organized various units to participate and assist in public education, evacuation procedures, and traffic control. Measures include opening underground gates or fences labeled with 'Air Raid Shelter' signs for pedestrians and vehicles to seek refuge during the drill day. Foreign language pamphlets in seven languages are also provided, emphasizing compliance with authorities' instructions during the drill to avoid penalties under civil defense laws. The public can access information about air raid shelters through the police service app for convenience.
