AOS Agrees to Settle Unauthorized Huawei Shipments with US Authorities

Reported about 11 hours ago

Alpha and Omega Semiconductor (AOS) has reached a settlement with the U.S. Department of Commerce, agreeing to pay $4.25 million for unauthorized shipments to Huawei Technologies, which violated export regulations. The violations occurred in 2019 when AOS sent 1,650 power controllers and related accessories to Huawei, despite it being added to a restricted trade list. The settlement concludes a lengthy investigation into AOS's dealings with Huawei and does not affect its ongoing business operations.
