Apple has rejected the open-source PC emulator 'UTM' from being available on the App Store, stating that 'PC is not considered a home game console.' This decision comes after Apple's recent policy change allowing home console emulators on the platform, as they do not fall under the category of 'small apps, games, streaming games, chatbots, plugins, and game emulators' according to the App Review Guidelines. UTM plans to appeal as its iOS version lacks JIT compiler functionality, severely limiting its capabilities and making the effort of getting it on the App Store unnecessary.
