Applied Materials has revealed that it received another subpoena from the U.S. Department of Commerce in May related to shipments to China. The semiconductor equipment maker is already under investigation for potentially evading export restrictions on China's top chipmaker, SMIC, by sending equipment via South Korea without proper export licenses. Around 43% of Applied Materials' revenue comes from China, and the company has received multiple subpoenas from regulatory bodies in this regard.
