Reported 7 months ago

The domestic economy in Taiwan continues to improve, leading to better salaries for individuals. Recent data shows a 2.39% year-on-year increase in regular salaries from January to April to NT$46,105, the highest in nearly 6 years. After adjusting for inflation, real regular monthly salaries went up by 0.14% and total salaries by 1.35% annually, both turning positive for the first time in 3 years. With the strong demand for AI talents and the growth of the semiconductor industry, the job market is thriving, with 1.14 million job opportunities available in June, a historic high. Salaries in the semiconductor industry average NT$56,800, and for AI talents, it's NT$57,000. The increasing demand for these talents is driving salaries up, and even non-related majors are welcomed in these fields. The manufacturing sector, including semiconductors, is also expected to reach new highs in 2024.
