In response to the progress of the Taoyuan Railway Underground Project, Zhongli Station, known as the 'ugliest railway station in Taiwan,' is being temporarily replaced starting today. Deputy Mayor of Taoyuan City, Su Jun-bin, personally hand-drew a piece titled 'Last Night at Zhongli Station'. Su visited the station to seek memories before its closure, emphasizing the station's significance and memories it holds. Su expressed that Zhongli Station, although dubbed the ugliest, played a crucial role, especially as a hub for various travelers and commuters. Su stated his deep personal memories with the station, highlighting its importance as a gathering and farewell spot for many. Su praised Zhongli Station as Taiwan Railways' most valuable contribution.
