Aryna Sabalenka defeated her best friend Paula Badosa in straight sets at the French Open. Sabalenka, the second seed, won 7-5 6-1 after a close first set where both players exchanged breaks. Despite the competitive match, the pair embraced warmly at the end, with Sabalenka acknowledging the challenge of competing against a close friend. Spaniard Badosa, ranked former world number two, will now focus on the mixed doubles with her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas.
