GlobalData reports that Asia will lead the global increase in crude distillation unit (CDU) capacities from 2025 to 2030, driven by rising energy demands and significant investments in refining infrastructure. The region is expected to add 8.87 million barrels per day in CDU capacity, with India anticipated to contribute the most. This growth is fueled by expanding populations and economies, primarily in China, India, Pakistan, and Indonesia, as countries modernize their refining sectors to enhance energy security.
