Auburn running back Brian Battie is in critical condition after being shot in Sarasota, Florida, where his brother Tommie Battie IV was killed. Brian is hospitalized in the ICU with movement in his hands but suffered a setback and is on a ventilator. Three others were also injured in the shooting. Battie joined Auburn in 2023 after playing at South Florida, where he was a leading rusher. He was a two-star recruit in the class of 2020 and signed with Auburn after a coaching change at USF.
