Reported 8 months ago

The Australian Royal Air Force is planning to cooperate with the United States Air Force to test-launch the hypersonic attack cruise missile (HACM) developed by RTX from F/A-18F fighters in Australia. The new weapon is expected to reach 'limited operational capability' by 2027, enhancing deterrence against regional threats. This collaboration signifies the first overseas hypersonic weapon test for the US, with the test scheduled to take place in South Australia's Woomera Range Complex in October.
