During an off-campus teaching activity in Bali Left Bank, New Taipei City, students rented bicycles for riding but were unhappy with the business owner’s stance when returning the bicycles, claiming that the bike was damaged and demanding 1300 yuan in compensation. After a dispute and police involvement, the teacher eventually compensated 300 yuan on behalf of the students. The business owner clarified that the bike was in good condition before being rented out, advising consumers to file complaints for consumer disputes. The incident highlighted the importance of inspecting vehicle conditions before renting and documenting damages to avoid losses.
