The battlefield of the Five Laws Amendment in Parliament extends to the streets, with the blue and green camps launching nationwide public engagement campaigns. While the DPP and KMT plan to engage in discussions with the public, the People's Party proposes holding 3 televised debates instead of street campaigns. The DPP is set to begin a nationwide campaign to 'Fight against Abuse of Power and Safeguard Democracy,' aiming to deepen public understanding of Taiwan's democracy and involve citizens in preventing abusive legislation, including controversial amendments to the Legislative Yuan Organization Act and the Criminal Code. The KMT is also organizing parliamentary reform briefings starting from Tainan, inviting party officials and experts to explain the necessity and details of legislative reform. In contrast, the People's Party advocates for televised debates instead of public campaigns, suggesting three rounds of debates with party leaders, representatives, and constitutional scholars discussing the law amendments in detail.
