A barbecue restaurant in Pingtung, Taiwan, has been fined a total of 1.5 million NTD for receiving over 40 complaints due to smoke pollution issues affecting nearby residents. The Environmental Protection Bureau has issued a final warning, threatening to order the closure of the restaurant by the end of June if improvements are not made. The restaurant has decided to close for five days starting from the 24th to urgently enhance its smoke exhaust system and comply with regulations.
