Be Cautious: Opioid Drugs Not to be Transferred or Taken Without Prescription

Reported 12 months ago

Pharmacists from the Chest Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Kaohsiung, advise against the unauthorized use of opioid drugs, such as Tramadol, which can pose health risks and legal consequences. Opioid drugs like Morphine, Fentanyl, Pethidine, and Codeine require prescriptions for medical use to prevent addiction and other adverse effects. Combining opioids with alcohol or sedatives can lead to respiratory suppression and even death. Proper storage, regulated disposal, and adherence to medical instructions are crucial to avoid misuse and prevent harm.
