Beware of Drinking Bubble Tea: A Glass a Day Leads to High Blood Sugar and Lipids, Doctor Warns No Sugar Doesn't Mean Healthier

Reported 12 months ago

According to a report by SET News, a 40-year-old woman gained 5 kilograms in just 4 months and saw her hormone levels and blood pressure and lipids spike after daily consumption of sugar-free bubble tea. The doctor warned that even sugar-free bubble tea contains 'cream powder,' which is essentially drinking oil. Switching to fresh milk instead may be slightly better, but even two glasses a day equals the calories of a chicken leg bento box. To drink bubble tea healthily, the doctor suggests limiting consumption, not drinking on an empty stomach or at night, and opting for unsweetened tea with toppings like aiyu jelly or chia seeds instead.
