With Taipei Dome officially in use since the end of last year, becoming a bustling new traffic hotspot, Taipei police will set up technology enforcement devices in the vicinity to detect and crack down on various violations to maintain road traffic order and smoothness. Enforcement will begin on July 1, focusing on parking violations around Taipei Dome. The technology uses license plate recognition systems to automatically identify and gather evidence of violations, significantly reducing offenses and improving traffic congestion in the area, with enforcement also implemented at nine other locations in the city.
