Biden Administration Allocates $325 Million for Michigan Semiconductor Factory

The Biden administration will provide up to $325 million to Hemlock Semiconductor to establish a new factory in Michigan, creating 180 manufacturing jobs and associated construction work. This initiative is part of the CHIPS and Science Act, aimed at revitalizing the U.S. semiconductor industry, with the factory expected to produce polysilicon used in electronics and solar technologies, beginning production in 2028.
