Biden Rushes to Distribute CHIPS Act Funding Before Transition

President Biden is racing to allocate remaining funds from the CHIPS and Science Act, which provided $39 billion in federal grants for U.S. semiconductor manufacturing, before Donald Trump potentially takes office again. As little of the funding has been distributed so far, Biden aims to finalize contracts within the next two months to ensure the aid reaches chipmakers.
