The heatwave in southern Taiwan has led to a blood shortage crisis, with a blood donation vehicle in Kaohsiung only collecting 7 bags of blood in one day due to people not wanting to go out in the extreme heat. The blood donation center reported a 30-40% decrease in donors recently, leaving only 4 days' worth of blood supply in the southern region, particularly lacking A and O blood types. The public is urged to actively donate blood.
