The Kuomintang and Democratic Progressive Party will respectively commence public lecture activities in June to convey their demands and ideas on the parliamentary reform bill to the public. The DPP plans to host a nationwide lecture tour from June 14 to July 16 under the theme 'Anti-Power Abuse, Defending Democracy', aiming to deepen public understanding of recent parliamentary events and promote democratic participation. The KMT's 'Taiwan's Third Wave of Democratic Reform - Parliamentary Reform Briefings' will start in late June at various party branches, with at least one large-scale briefing in every county and city inviting local legislators to explain the necessity and legitimacy of parliamentary reform. Both parties hope to garner public support and advance the nation's democratic processes.
