Blue and White Form TV Investigation Committee! Greens Slam 'Ineffective Meeting' - Ko Chien-ming: Shouldn't Disrupt Constitution and Governance Like This

Reported 12 months ago

On July 3, 2024, the Kuomintang caucus in the Legislative Yuan held a joint meeting in the Transportation, Judicial, and Legal Affairs Committee to establish a special investigation team on the 'Mirror TV Licensing and Subsequent Controversy'. The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) caucus questioned the legality and validity of the joint meeting, leading to the DPP not endorsing or supporting it. Ko Chien-ming, the head of the DPP caucus, criticized the move, stating that even if there were constitutional and governance issues, it should not be handled this way. The meeting was disrupted, and DPP representatives walked out in protest against the formation of the illegal investigatory team.
