In the Nationalist Party's first 'Parliamentary Reform Explanation Meeting' in Taichung's Eastern District, a booth appeared next to the venue for signing a petition for a 'Referendum on a Cross-Strait Peace Agreement,' drawing criticism from Democratic Progressive Party's Taichung City Party Chairman Guo Guowen as an attempt by the Chinese Communist Party's United Front Work Department. The Nationalist Party's Taichung City Party Chairman Hsieh Lung-Chieh responded, stating the venue was open for diverse opinions, distancing the party from the petition.
