Boeing firefighters voted to approve a new four-year contract deal that includes wage boosts and will end the weeks-long lockout by the planemaker. The International Association of Fire Fighters Local I-66 members in Washington state agreed to the deal with general wage increases of 2-3% annually, higher guaranteed overtime pay, a $1,000 signing bonus, and job restructuring allowing for quicker promotion opportunities. Boeing expressed its satisfaction with the ratified contract, while negotiations with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers continue for over 30,000 workers building Boeing 737 MAX jets.
