German engineering group Bosch is reportedly considering making a bid for US appliances manufacturer Whirlpool, which has a market capitalization of about $4.8 billion. Talks have been held with potential advisers, although it is uncertain if an offer will be made. Whirlpool, known for brands such as Ariston and Hotpoint, has been restructuring its business.
