Today (24th) at 1:11 PM, a water accident occurred at Ship Sail Stone in Hengchun Township, Pingtung. An American man, aged 22, drowned while swimming with 7-8 other American nationals. Coast Guard personnel arrived at the scene and found the man had been pulled ashore by bystanders but had lost consciousness and heartbeat. He was rushed to Hengchun Tourist Hospital for emergency treatment. Further investigation is needed to clarify the details of the incident.
