At around 12:25 PM today, a 4.6 magnitude earthquake struck near the sea off Hualien County, with a depth of 40.2 kilometers. The highest seismic intensity was recorded at level 3 in Taitung, Hualien, and Changhua, and level 2 in Chiayi County's Yizhu and Nantou County's Yushan.
