In Tainan City, Taiwan, a shooting incident occurred where Lin Shijie, the father of councilor Lin Yiting and the current chairman of the Fishermen's Association in the area, was ambushed by a shooter as he was about to leave home. Sustaining at least 11 fatal gunshot wounds, Lin Shijie was killed, and the shooter fled in a car. The police later found the crime vehicle in a parking lot in Nan District, along with a gun believed to have been used in the shooting. Investigations are ongoing, with hopes that biological evidence collected will speed up the case resolution.
