Breaking News: Green Energy Photovoltaic Corruption Case Investigated by Judicial Authorities, Yunlin County Council Speaker Huang Kai Remanded in Custody and Denied Visitation Rights

On the morning of July 5, 2024, the New Taipei District Prosecutors' Office investigated a case of corruption involving green energy photovoltaics. Yunlin County Council Speaker Huang Kai and over 20 other individuals, including county councilors and green energy industry representatives, were summoned for questioning and taken to the New Taipei District Investigation Bureau. Following interrogation, Speaker Huang Kai applied for remand in custody and denial of visitation rights, which was approved by the court in the afternoon.
