As a result of vigorous development of convective cloud systems in the afternoon, the Central Weather Bureau issued a national-level thunderstorm alert at 3:16 pm today, impacting areas such as New Taipei City, Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Tainan City, Changhua County, and Nantou County until 4:45 pm today. People are advised to be cautious of severe rainfall, thunder, strong gusts exceeding 9 on the Beaufort scale, flash floods in rivers, and low visibility.
