On June 30, 2024, around 9 p.m., there was a sudden power outage in the Jiji District of Nantou County. Residents posted about it on the Facebook group 'Nuclear Energy Rumor Terminator Chatroom,' questioning if it was near the Sun Moon Lake hydroelectric power station.
