On June 22, 2024, at around 6 a.m., a truck driven by a 52-year-old male surnamed Huang caught fire at the 29.67 km mark of the southbound National Freeway No. 1 in Sanchong section. Huang noticed smoke from the front of the vehicle, pulled over to the shoulder, and quickly got out to inspect. The front of the truck burst into flames as he exited the vehicle, prompting him to seek safety and call for help. Firefighters and police arrived to extinguish the fire, with no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Authorities urge drivers to follow traffic rules, inspect vehicles before traveling, and report any vehicle abnormalities promptly to prevent accidents.
