On June 16, 2024, a woman surnamed Chen was found dead this morning after suspectedly falling into Nioucioupu Creek in Kaohsiung. The 67-year-old woman was believed to have accidentally fallen into the creek while heading to work in the fields. Search and rescue efforts involving 40 personnel were conducted after her family reported the incident. Only the woman's rain shoes and recently harvested crops were found at the riverside, with her body being discovered the following morning. Police are investigating the cause of death.
