A Brooklyn man nicknamed 'Bruce' was arrested at JFK International Airport while attempting to board a flight to Australia with cash, checks, and betting slips, connected to a conspiracy with banned NBA player Jontay Porter to defraud a gambling company. Porter allegedly exited games early to ensure prop bets hit the unders to clear his gambling debts. The scheme involved substantial bets, profit-sharing agreements, and suspicious activities that led to the involvement of the FBI, ultimately resulting in Porter's lifetime ban from the NBA.
