Wells Fargo has suspended all travel to China following an exit ban on senior executive Chenyue Mao, who manages the bank’s international factoring business. Mao, based in Atlanta but originally from Shanghai, has been with the bank for 12 years and recently became chairwoman of a global factoring organization. Wells Fargo's operations in China, which include two branches in Shanghai and Beijing, are significantly smaller than those of its rivals and do not have the status of a locally incorporated bank.
