Businessman Gets Suspended Sentence for Buying Endorsement Papers for Terry Gou, North Taipei Hot Spring Tycoon Involved

Hot spring tycoon Chen Zhongming assisted Terry Gou in raising endorsements by buying endorsement papers, but was sentenced to 2 years in prison, suspended for 5 years. Chen was fined 5 million yuan and mandated to pay 2 million yuan to the government, attend 10 judiciary education courses. The case stemmed from Chen having his girlfriend spend money to buy personal information to forge endorsement papers for Gou. In addition, another man was punished for illegally using personal data to make fake endorsement papers. They were charged with bribery and falsification crimes, receiving suspended sentences and fines up to 5 million yuan.
