Campbell Soup to Cut 415 Jobs in Manufacturing Plant Restructuring

Campbell Soup announced plans to downsize its Jeffersonville, Indiana site and close the Tualatin, Oregon facility, resulting in 415 job cuts. The company aims to enhance growth, improve return on capital, and optimize manufacturing and distribution. The Oregon closure is expected by July 2026, impacting 120 of 330 employees initially, while part of Indiana operations will move to North Carolina and Pennsylvania, affecting about 85 of 230 workers. Campbell plans $230 million in investments by 2026 in modern facilities, creating 210 jobs. Last year, expansion at the Richmond, Utah plant was announced. Shares fell 2% following the news.
