A federal jury in Texas has ordered Samsung Electronics to pay $118 million to Netlist, a computer memory company, for infringing on its patents related to high-performance memory products. This ruling follows a previous $303 million verdict against Samsung in a related case. Netlist claimed that Samsung's memory technology used in cloud servers infringed on its patents, while Samsung denied the allegations, arguing the patents were invalid.
