At the 2024 Asian Youth and U23 Canoe Sprint Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, Taiwanese athlete Tsai Shuhan triumphed in the final race, defeating competitors from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and South Korea to claim the gold medal in the junior women's C1-200m event, marking a historic first for the team. Alongside Tsai's achievement, Hsieh Jiacheng also secured a bronze in the junior men's K1-500m, leading to Taiwan's best-ever performance with 1 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals in total over three days of competition.
