In Taichung, Taiwan, a man surnamed Ke stole a car and drove towards his hometown in Nantou for a family visit but ran out of gas on the way. Despite police pursuit, Ke refused to surrender and evaded capture, even ramming into roadblocks and police cars. The police fired nine shots, hitting the suspect's car's front tire and engine, eventually subduing him. Ke, a 41-year-old, faced charges not only for car theft but also for fraud, intentional damage, and endangering public safety. This incident highlighted the dangerous and reckless actions of the car thief.
