On June 20, 2024, in Tijuana, Mexico, near the US border and a destination for many Central and South American immigrants, Tzu Chi volunteers provided eye care for nearly 30 residents of Mother Teresa Home, a shelter facing medical challenges. The volunteers, including two nuns seeking treatment during an eye care event in May, collaborated with the home to expand the reach of love, moving equipment to conduct eye exams and treatments on-site. This interfaith cooperation and assistance extended to residents struggling with various issues, highlighting the positive impact and camaraderie fostered by the Tzu Chi Foundation.
