Cathay Pacific Airways: China Can Drive Sustainable Aviation Fuels Similar to EV Market

Reported 12 months ago

Cathay Pacific Airways believes that China can accelerate the development of sustainable aviation fuels just like it has spurred the electric vehicle and solar power sectors. This comes as airlines struggle to transition away from traditional energy sources due to high costs and limited feedstock. Cathay remains committed to having sustainable aviation fuels account for 10% of its fuel consumption by 2030, working with Chinese authorities and State Power Investment Corp. to explore viable production methods.
