CDC Declares End of E. coli Outbreak Linked to McDonald's Quarter Pounders

The CDC has announced the conclusion of the E. coli outbreak associated with McDonald's Quarter Pounder hamburgers, which affected 104 individuals and resulted in 34 hospitalizations. The outbreak, linked to slivered onions supplied by Taylor Farms, was first reported on October 22 and resulted in one death. McDonald's has resumed serving the burgers after temporarily removing them from affected restaurants and has switched to a different onion supplier.
