According to the Central Weather Bureau via Yahoo News on July 4, 2024, Taiwan is expected to experience hot weather with localized afternoon thunderstorms until mid-July, with a need to monitor the development of the Pacific high-pressure system. The Bureau issued high-temperature warnings for 11 counties and cities across Taiwan tomorrow, advising caution for temperatures exceeding 37 degrees Celsius in the northern Taipei area. The forecast also includes the possibility of localized heavy rain in the southern and northern central mountainous areas. Despite the weakening of the Pacific high-pressure system from the 7th to the 9th, temperatures will not drop significantly but there will be a slight decrease in the duration of high temperatures. Southwest winds are expected starting from the 10th, with the possibility of a foehn wind in the southeast region.
